Time Management 680x258Weekends are sometimes just plain too busy to worry about scholarship details. Weekends are often planned without asking the student about his/her schedule until the last minute. Then, suddenly, the pressure comes down hard sometimes.”Do I go visit my Aunt Melba with my brothers or sisters? Or do I stay home and work on my scholarship project?” The truth is, you can go see Aunt Melba this time…but when you get back later in the afternoon, you’ll need to put in two or three hours so you won’t lose pace with your scheduled plan. Or at least not fall further behind. And then again, you’ll have to show up late for the get together at 9:30 pm at Tom’s house for a movie. Yes, you’ll socialize with friends but sometimes a four hour get together will be a couple hours for you…Why? Because you are hard at work–your job. Yes, this is a job that pays huge dividends to those who do the work. And guess what? After you’ve done the work, you know a lot more about all kinds of things besides “scholarship search.”
