Jack Facebook Pic (200x180 about)Dr. Jack Wilson — Founder, Facilitator and Main Speaker

Born and raised in the Seattle area, Dr. Wilson earned his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Washington in 1976 and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Utah in 1979. He self-financed both degrees.

Dr. Wilson was a pharmacy practitioner, hospital pharmacy administrator and college educator over a 17 year period before founding a medical device company around his patented inventions in 1990. As CEO and product developer, Dr. Wilson launched several businesses in the last 20 years and raised tens of millions of dollars through a mix of federal grants, industry investors, business-to-business partnerships, venture backers and regional investment bank sources.

In recent years, he learned about college scholarships and grants as his first two of six home-schooled and public high school children reached college age. He then applied his business experience and knowledge of fundraising and grant writing to college scholarships and grants. He has taught the subject in Northwest communities since Y2001 to young people of all backgrounds in high school and in college. Using methods he now teaches in Go To College Free! Seminars and Workshops, his first and second daughters won over $200,000 combined…[MORE]

JRose150xJenny Rose Wilson – Scholarship Winner/Speaker
Also known as “Number 2,” Jenny also adds “real world life” to GoToCollegeFree! She is a “Sometimes Speaker” at seminars and workshops –even if through the internet–in sharing her own experiences in raising over $110,000 in scholarships and grants. She is a lively and engaging speaker in her own right. In her GoToCollegeFree! presentations, she shares her “How-To” scholarships/grants search experience and explains how her volunteer experiences actually opened up NUMEROUS doors and opportunities to her future. Her “scholarshipped life” included traveling around the U.S. and the world during summers, performing her music in China, Thailand, Middle East and Europe, becoming fluent in Mandarin and engaging with numerous foreign cultures–while other classmates had to work jobs in their local communities during summer breaks…[MORE]

Song in SPU grad capMarilynn Song Harri – Scholarship Winner/Speaker (also a Wilson girl).

As the firstborn “guinea pig” of the family, Marilynn Song jump-started the learning curve of scholarship fundraising for the Wilson clan. She was homeschooled until she attended Woodinville High School, and upon graduation attended Seattle Pacific University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Music Minor. Though we didn’t know about all the opportunities available back then, and it took some trial and error, this “guinea pig” was still able to raise over $90,000 in scholarships and grants. The unique GoToCollegeFree approach of taking a strong and deliberate business approach to “self-development”, “self-marketing”, and “self-selling” toward scholarships and grants, initially emerged from Marilynn Song’s experience, helping to form the methods and techniques GTCF teaches today, and resulting in a “nearly free” college attendance at the most expensive private university in Washington State. At GoToCollegeFree Workshops, Marilynn Song often speaks through the internet to attending students, sharing her experiences, what worked, what didn’t, how to keep the right attitude, etc. while fishing for scholarship funds…[MORE]

Anjuli150xAnjuli Mae Jacqueline Wilson, Graphics Design Manager and Webmaster
Also known as “Number 6,” Anjuli adds “flair” and “pizazz” to GoToCollegeFree! She is taking over the GoToCollegeFree! design responsibilities in terms of branding, image, website, collateral materials, marketing, messaging etc. She is now a Sophomore at the University of Washington with her eye on the School of Art toward a career in design. She is the initiator and Project Manager of “Seattle Design,” her own fully developed student project out of the University of Washington which is a yearlong study of the top ten design firms in the Seattle marketplace. The project includes exploring and studying numerous persuasion and best-practice elements used by the “best-of-the-best” in graphics design. Results will be published next year. She graduated from Glacier Peak, a Triple A High School in Snohomish, Washington where she was Junior Class President and then Student Body President in her senior year. Her high school student government and university graphics project are two among numerous specific strategies taught in GoToCollegeFree Workshop II where students choose and/or begin design their own strategies for establishing a strong “Platform For Funding Requests.” Anjuli is also a pianist and talented vocalist with a particular  love for jazz. Someday you may also see her as a featured singer in local Seattle jazz clubs…and well…who knows? She’s also a talented hair stylist who gets long lines of work during proms and weddings–thanks to the in-home training she received from her older sister, an actress, singer, cellist and beautician in New York City.
