There are certain qualities, both tangible and intangible, that seem to be found in really great essays. Every applicant should strive to learn what these are and how to implement them in their late and final draft. I say late and final because it usually takes many drafts before a truly “killer essay” can even exist. It isn’t a quick and easy thing to do, but most everyone can learn how to do this. Moreover, tell your editors what it is you are trying to accomplish before they take a look at your drafts. So, what’s in a great essay? Proper grammar, no misspelling, active voice mostly, no meandering sentences, one idea per paragraph, etc. and a very interesting storyline to name a few.
