Number 1: The oldest, MarilynnSong (also known as Song [or “Number One” as she is also known by her parents]), is a talented pianist, guitarist, song writer, accompanist, and music arrangment leader who in many ways led and also NAMED 2Plus6 (Communications Major and Music Minor). She settled in Walla Walla wine and wheat country…after a 7 year detour through Kansas City and Portland. She is loving life as a mother of FIVE already…
Number 2: In less than a year from now, Jenny, their Mandarin-speaking violinist-viola-guitarist daughter #2 (also a recording artist and songwriter like her older sister and baby brother), will graduate with her doctorate in nursing midwifery at the University of Washington and move indefinitely to serve the medical community and rural peoples in Western Asia AFTER a one year 2014-15 stint in South Africa for further obstetrics training.
Numbers 3 & 4: The next two daughters are actors who now live in New York (BreannaNoel for theater & musicals – “Number 3”) and Los Angeles (Arianna America for film “Number 4”). That also means they hold down REAL jobs since the average actor only acts 3 months per year! Number 3 is newly married and their leading “bucket lister” going everywhere, doing everything, seeing everything, and knowing and loving everybody. She is also a cellist who plays in many venues and experienced in band work. And she’s a licensed beautician–even doing weddings, proms etc. starting with her first wedding at age 12! Besides being an actress (see AriannaAmerica.com soon) “Number 4” is also a model, talented pianist, and worship leader at her church (also the ‘phenom percussionist’ of 2Plus6 doing 238 things at the same time…lol). She graduated from the International House Of Prayer University Music Academy in Kansas City specializing in piano/keyboards and worship leadership which she now does at her local church near Hollywood.
Number 5: “The boy” as he is fondly known in the family (aka Jonathan), is an excellent MALE (yes, Jack’s ONLY son!) vocalist, lyricist-songwriter and budding guitarist who, after getting “wait-listed at Dartmouth” (wow…yes…very smart “einstein-ish” high SAT scorer also) decided to skip the college scene for awhile to try his hand in the music business. Who knows? He’s quite good and so just might make it! He recently moved to Los Angeles to give it a go — and, of course, to watch over and protect his beautiful older “actress-model” sister. Will he return to college? Answer: not if he makes jillions of dollars in music!
Number 6: Last, but definitely not in a million years “least”, Anjuli is a pianist and particularly good jazz singer, and now a sophomore at the University of Washington pursuing Design. She is implementing a major strategy taught at GoToCollegeFree that all attendees will find VERY interesting. She also implemented the GoToCollegeFree strategy of high school student government and won Junior Class President and ASB president at her large public high school in preparation for scholarships and “because I wanted to.”
All six are active musicians and vocalists–and “X-2Plus6 percussionists.” Finally, “Freed from children who flew the coop,” Jackie is now working on her Masters Degree in Psychology toward a career in family counseling while Jack continues in the entrepreneurial world of systems development and business consulting to hospitals and law firms.
